Contact List Update!
There
have been a great deal of requests from members to provide everyone
with a copy of the contact information for all members. This would
make it easier for car pooling, rules questions, etc. Since the introduction
of the “Privacy Act” we have been weary about the implications
of going forward with this. Having consulted on this matter, it has
been clarified that for our purposes, we are okay to do proceed. Having
said that, we respect the privacy of our members and wish to give
you the opportunity to make your own choice.
Click here to download a copy of
a release form which, we are asking you to print off, review, sign
and bring to our meeting on May 6th. Again, the law says this is not
necessary, but we will respect anyone’s wishes not to be included.
If you have any questions, please contact myself or Peter Morris.
Thanks

OFOA
Conference Update!
As
of Good Friday we have 63 total registered for the conference which
includes OFOA executive. There are at present 13 registered for Level
1 and 2 Clinicians course and 6 registered for Level 3. It is not
to late to sign up for the conference. You can get info and registration
forms on the www.wwcfoa.ca website. Just so you know it makes it very
difficult for the conference and hotel to accommodate anyone that
may feel they can show up on Saturday morning and register then. As
Conference Chair I must give numbers to the hotel in regards to food
for the day and the banquet at night by midweek on the week of the
conference. It is my guess that we still have folks out there that
have yet to register...it is not too late.
Register
Soon!
As
of Good Friday we still had 5 associations with no representatives
attending the conference. If those in charge of notifying your membership
could pass this on I would appreciate it very much. If anyone has
any questions they can email me sammyweltenpi@possibilitiesinternational.com.
Go to the website
for all the details and choose one of 2 ways to register.

OVFL
'07 - A Search for Officials
My
fellow Officials,
As mentioned
in previous emails, the season is quickly approaching. Murray has
sent out his 2007 request for officials. He is looking for level II
and above to work the OVFL this season. Covering the province with
almost 300 officials every weekend, flexibility in schedule and ability
to travel is essential. If you are interested in having the TFOA put
your name forward to Murray, please let me know by Sat. Mar.31st .
Even if you have worked the OVFL in the past, we still need confirmation
from you that you wish to work the league this year. A simple reply
is all that is required. If I do not hear from you, I will assume
that you are NOT interested and your name will NOT be put forward.
See you on the field!!!

First
football talk of the year!
I
hope everyone is enjoying the off season. If you’re like me
the football withdrawals are kicking in strongly. Well, I have good
news for you. The 2007 OFOA conference has been announced by the WWCFOA
(Waterloo Association). The scheduled date of the event is April 20-22.
Starting Feb 5th, they will have a website, www.wwcfoa.ca/OFOA.php
which will have all the information pertaining to the weekend. The
reg. form is also available for download here.
For anyone who has ever gone to one of these conferences, you know
how invaluable they are to developing our skills. Officials from all
across the province are there with stories, info, guidance, you name
it. No matter what your level or years of experience I strongly recommend
attending and showing the rest of the associations what a strong group
of officials the TFOA has.
As
for the TFOA, the executive will be meeting next week to get the 2007
direction set and started to ensure another strong year for this proud
association. We have already had 2 more people looking to join us.
Stay tuned for more football “stuff” in the weeks ahead.
